PACIFIC GROVE, Monterey County — October 26, 2026. The November 7–8 weekend will bring running events to Pacific Grove and the wider Monterey Peninsula. The municipality’s 2026 approved special-events calendar lists Big Sur International Marathon half-marathon activities near Lovers Point and Ocean View Boulevard on Saturday and Sunday, including running and walking distances.
Race events can change access to waterfront roads, parking areas and shoreline paths while participants are on the course. However, the calendar alone does not establish the full road-closure map or exact reopening hour for a particular street. Residents, hotel guests and workers should obtain the latest course and traffic-control instructions from event organizers and the city before traveling. People participating should verify bib pickup times and registration status directly with the official race website. A major race weekend is also an opportunity for local restaurants and shops, but California58 has not independently estimated the number of attendees or local spending.
